It’s worth pointing out that in order to begin the Born in Darkness Part 2 quest, you’ll need to complete Destiny 2 Beyond Light’s campaign first.

Born in Darkness Part 2 in Destiny 2

There are five separate steps you’ll need to complete in order to tick off this quest. We’ve summarized these directly below, or you can keep scrolling for more detailed explanations:

Destiny 2 Born in Darkness Part 2 Quest Steps Guide

  1. 50 Energized Radiolarian Fluid from Vex
20 Enemies Defeated Using Shatter Damage

  2. Affect 60 Combatants with Stasis
Complete Three Playlist Activities with Stasis Equipped

  3. Defeat House Salvation Fallen Platoon at Riis-Reborn Approach

  4. Complete the Lost Sector in Cadmus Ridge for the Skeleton Key

  5. Hand over the Skeleton Key to the Exo Stranger

Step 1

The first step requires players to kill Vex on Europa in order to get Energized radiolarian fluid from them. You’ll also need to kill 20 enemies using Shatter damage.

  • 50 Energized Radiolarian Fluid from Vex
  • 20 Enemies Defeated Using Shatter Damage

Vex can be found in Cadmus Ridge, Asterion Abyss, Nexus, Glassway and Infinitude, should you be struggling to track them down.

Shatter damage is dealt by ice exploding near to enemies. Try and group enemies together before using an attack that will deal Shatter damage to quickly wrap this one up.

Step 2 – Destiny 2 Born in Darkness Part 2

  • Affect 60 Combatants with Stasis
  • Complete Three Playlist Activities with Stasis Equipped

For this next section, you’ll need to complete some playlist activities with Stasis equipped, as well as affect 60 combatants with Stasis. For this one, you’re best completing things like Strikes, before heading into the Crucible. Alternatively, you can always play the Gambit playlist if you fancy a bit of a PvP change.

Step 3

  • Defeat House Salvation Fallen platoon in Riis-Reborn Approach

For Born in Darkness Part 2’s third step, players need to head to a specific location marked on their map within Riis-Reborn. There will be a quest marker of where you need to go on your map, and once you’re here it’s simply a case of defeating the House Salvation Fallen platoon.

Step 4 – Destiny 2 Born in Darkness Part 2

After defeating the House Salvation, you’ve now got to head on over to Cadmus Ridge and complete the Lost Sector found on its northeast side.

Complete the Lost Sector and you’ll be rewarded with the Skeleton Key, this now leaves us with our fifth and final step in the Born in Darkness Part 2 quest.

Step 5

Now all you need to do is return to the Exo Stranger at the Beyond landing point. Hand over the skeleton key and she’ll reward you with a new Grenade ability for your Stasis class.
