Watch Dogs Legion: How to Change Character Appearance

The big new feature in Watch Dogs Legion is the ability to play as any character in the game, including all NPCs. While that’s certainly the case, you’re still able to change up how they look if you’re using them. In case you’re not a fan of their default look, here’s everything you need to know about how to change character appearance in Watch Dogs Legion.

First of all, you should know that you can’t change a character’s physical attributes/appearance. There are no ways to change a recruited character’s hair, height, face etc, with clothing changes being the only options available.

How to Change Character Appearance in Watch Dogs Legion

Throughout the map, you’ll find clothing stores, which is obviously where you’ll need to go to buy items to change your character’s appearance.

To find the store, look out for the t-shirt icons around the map. Just head to them, go inside, and you’ll be able to purchase whatever catches your eye from the catalogue that will appear. There are loads of options to choose from, as you’d expect from an open-world Ubisoft game, so pick carefully.

Then, to actually equip the items you’ve bought, just press R1 while you’re in the shop to access everything you already own. Just press X/A on the item you want to use and you’ll change your character’s appearance for when you leave the store.

You’ll be able to do this with whatever character or NPC you decide to play as. They will all have a default clothing when you recruit them, but you can head to a clothing store whenever you want.
