How to Get the Field Upgrade in Spiritfarer
To get the Field Upgrade in Spiritfarer, you’ll need to have reached a certain point in the game; that being the section after you’ve obtained the Glide ability.
Found at the island of Furogawa located at -145 x, 65 y, this ability lets you to glide through the air using bursts of wind from fans, geysers and the like, allowing you to reach sections of areas that were once inaccessible to you.
Like other abilities, it costs two Obols to unlock, so be sure you have enough of the currency before heading out to obtain it.
Where to find the Field Upgrade
With the Glide ability in hand, you’ll then need to head to Hoseki Quarry, found at -135 x, 28 y. There, you’ll find a series of tunnels you can explore for resources ranging from ores to hidden treasures.
Once there, head up and to the right until you come to a series of air vents you can use to reach higher portions of the tunnels. You’ll have to time when and in what direction you’re gliding to reach specific openings, while also avoiding a few pitfalls that’ll force you to try and platform your way back up all over again.
Use the first two air vents to boost you toward openings to the upper left, and then use the subsequent vents to reach another ledge to the right. You’ll then come to a Hidden Treasure pedestal in a small alcove, which will contain a blueprint for the Field upgrade.
What the Field Upgrade Does in Spiritfarer
As for what the Field upgrade does in Spiritfarer, it’s similar to the Garden upgrade in its effects.
Once built by using 12 Maple Planks, 4 Slate Shards, and 7 Bright Jelly, it’ll allow you to grow grains and crops much faster than you’d normally be able to. This can help you obtain ingredients for dishes needed to keep your Spirits happy and progress their questlines.
