How to Get the Exp Charm & What it Does

Obtaining the Exp Charm in Pokemon Isle of Armor is actually pretty simple. Once you reach the isle from Wedgehurst Station, a new character will be there to greet you. You’ll receive the Isle of Armor Pokedex and get tasked with filling it up, as usual.

After your first battle with one of the new “rival” trainers, you’ll need to head straight up the hill to the Master Dojo. If you’re unsure of where to go, just go to the flag on your map. It’ll show you the exact spot.

A cutscene will play in front of the dojo involving a woman named Honey, then you’ll be allowed to enter. As soon as you do, you’ll be greeted by Honey’s son, Hyde. Hyde will give you the Exp Charm to help your Pokemon out, free of charge.

What the EXP Charm Does

As you can probably guess, the Exp Charm in Pokemon Isle of Armor provides your Pokemon with more experience points. It’s a bit like the Exp Share in Pokemon Sun & Moon, except you can’t turn it off.

The Exp Charm stays in the Key Items pocket of your bag, and it was apparently created by Hyde. The item description states that there’s a “machine-like object” inside the charm, but Hyde tells you not to open it.

That’s everything you need to know about how to get Exp Charm in the Pokemon Isle of Armor expansion.
