How to Get More Ammo in The Last of Us 2

The easiest way you can get more ammo in The Last of Us 2 is simply by rummaging around the world. You’ll surely find some extra ammo lying around if you scour every table top, under every table, and in every drawer. But you won’t find a lot of it.

If you’re using a bow and arrows to take down your enemies, then you’ll sometimes be able to reclaim the arrows off of the corpses. However, it’s all up to chance. There is no certainty that you’ll be able to get your arrows back after using them.

A more consistent way of getting more ammo in The Last of Us 2 is by crafting it. To unlock the skill tree that contains ammo crafting, you’ll first need to find the weapons training manual. The title of the manual is Bring Your Own Bullets.

Once you get high enough in this firearms skill tree, then you’ll be able to start crafting ammo for the Hunting Pistol and Shotgun. Some of these types of ammo are just your standard-issue. However, you can craft incendiary shells for your shotgun once you unlock the skill.

More ammo crafting may be available in the game, and we will update this guide as we find more manuals. For now, that’s everything we know about how to get more ammo in The Last of Us 2. If you want to learn anything else about this game, then just check out our Last of Us 2 Guide Wiki.
