How to slide in cod warzone

Call of Duty: Warzone is the Battle Royale mode of Modern Warfare. It’s a free-to-play standalone experience that sees 150 players drop onto a map, fighting it out to be the last-man standing as the ‘safe zone’ gets smaller and smaller. One of the best evasive moves you can use is the slide, allowing you to cover ground quickly, while also making yourself a smaller target. Here’s how to slide in Warzone.

Sliding in CoD Warzone

In order to slide, you’ll need to make sure that you’re first running. To do this, press L3 on your controller by clicking in the left analog stick and moving it in the direction that you want to sprint.

When you’re sprinting, simply press and hold the Circle button on PS4, or X button on Xbox One to slide in Warzone. Your character will now be much lower to the floor and will normally travel a good few meters in a slide.

If there are any obstacles in your way before the slide has finished, you’ll just crash into them and end up in a crouched state. Keep in mind that if you slide, you’ll always finish the manoeuvre crouching down.

How to Slide in Warzone

  1. Make Sure You’re Sprinting

This can be done by pressing L3 and using the left analog stick to move in the direction you want to.

  2. Press and Hold the Crouch Button to Slide

Once you’ve begun sprinting, simply press and hold Circle on PS4 or X on Xbox One to slide across the ground.

Best Uses for Sliding

Sliding can be great for getting away from enemies as it can make you a lot harder to hit. It’s also good if you’re in combat and running towards another player, as it’s difficult to predict, giving you the opportunity to get some shots in and down your enemy before they can get you back in their sights.

Finally, it’s good for when you need to revive a teammate, as staying close to the ground but moving at speed makes you more difficult to see and also fire at.
