Moving Out is a wacky co-op game that shares a few similarities with the Overcooked series. It’s a little more simple, but you’re still working against the clock to do as well as possible. Since chucking things can be quicker than running with them, here’s everything you need to know about how to throw items in Moving Out.
You’ll want to know how to throw things because it’s vital to getting everything into the moving truck. The larger items, such as beds and sofas, take up a lot of space and the game’s purposefully awkward movements can make placing smaller items tricky.
However, to get them to stay in the truck, you can throw them on top of everything that’s taking up the majority of the space.
How to Throw Items in Moving Out
First things first, you need to hold the left or right trigger to pick up an item that is nearby. You can throw items anywhere, but you’ll probably want to do it when trying to get it in the truck or over things like swimming pools in the screenshot below.
With the item in your character’s hands, hold square if you’re on PS4 to aim it (X on Xbox One or Y on Switch), at which point the aim indicator will show up. Once you’re aiming in the right direction, let go of all buttons and you’ll throw it.
It is worth noting that you can only throw small items like toasters or cardboard boxes if you’re playing on your own. If you’re playing with someone else and are both holding a larger item at the same time, you can time your throws to chuck them too.
Time needed: 1 minute.
