How to Fast Travel in Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore

While this isn’t exactly an open world game in the traditional sense of the word, there are still tons of places and areas you can explore in modern Tokyo. These areas are home to various locales and interesting venues you can visit, and some can only be unlocked as you participate in side stories along the way.

Because it can be pretty cumbersome to manually walk everywhere (and in some cases, even that isn’t possible), you’ll want to know how to fast travel instead.

Whenever you’re out in the city, you’ll be able to bring up the Tokyo Access Map by pressing the Y button. You’ll then be able to use the d-pad to scroll through all available locations, then press the A button to confirm your destination. Sit through a short loading screen, and you’ll be automatically transported to your selected location. It’s as easy as that.

The only times you won’t be able to fast travel is when you’re in the Idolasphere or in areas like the Fortuna Office or Observatory. In these areas, just walk towards the green exits and press the A button to leave. This will then bring up the map again, where you can select the next location you want to visit.

This can come in pretty handy especially in the Shibuya area, where there are tons of shops scattered all over. You’ll want to use the map function to get to specific shops quickly.

To recap, here’s how to fast travel in Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore

  1. Press the Y button to bring up the map.

  2. Use the d-pad to select your desired location, then press A to confirm.
