Escape From Tarkov is a hardcore first-person shooter and, while there are PvP elements, a lot of players will be playing it like an MMO. Therefore, there are some NPCs that you come across who give you quests to complete. So that you can get the extra set of quests and potential rewards, here’s everything you need to know about how to unlock Jaeger in Escape From Tarkov.

How to Unlock Jaeger in Escape From Tarkov

The first thing you need to do is level your character up to level 10, at which point you’ll get access to the Mechanic NPC’s quests. Then, you’ll need to complete the quest called Gunsmith Part 1.

To complete it, you need to get three Elite Pliers, which are easily purchased from the flea market in the game. Then, barter with the Mechanic NPC for the MP133 shotgun and modify it to the specs that the quest asks for to complete the mission.

Completing that Escape From Tarkov quest will make available the mission that allows you to unlock Jaeger. Introduction is another Mechanic mission and it asks you to retrieve a message from Jaeger.

What you need to do is enter a Raid on the Woods map. Once you’re there, head to the area around the train station spawn point and look for a crashed private jet.

Then, if you’re standing at the nose of the plane, looking to the front of it, turn left and walk a little until you see a hide away. Under it, you’ll find a note. Pick it up and successfully extract from the raid, which will allow you to keep everything you’ve picked up.

Now, take it back to the Mechanic and you’ll unlock Jaeger. You can then talk to him and accept new quests.
