Starting the Sundial Activity in Destiny 2

First things first, the Season of Dawn introduces a new, though rather short, campaign that you have to complete. This quest line will begin with the mission A Matter of Time, which can be started by talking to Ikora Rey at the Tower. You’ll then have to speak with Osiris on Mercury, and recover Sundial Components to restore a structure.

After completing all the objectives, head back to Mercury and talk to Osiris to restore the obelisk. You’ll then get an introduction to Sundial, and run through it for the first time.

After that, you can run it whenever you want. To access the activity, bring up the Director menu, choose Mercury, then choose the Sundial activity icon to launch it.

Sundial is a round-based PvE mode with different objectives for you to fulfill in each round. It supports up to six players in one instance, and you’ll have to work together to complete it quickly and efficiently for rewards.

To recap, here’s how to start the Sundial activity in Destiny 2:

  1. Complete the Season of Dawn quest line and restore the Obelisk for Osiris on Mercury.

  2. Bring up the Director menu and choose Mercury as your destination.

  3. Once you select Mercury, select the Sundial activity icon to launch it.

That’s all you need to know about how to start the Sundial activity in Destiny 2. Be sure to check our Destiny 2 guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
