This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

Sword & Shield realizes the Pokemon experience on the biggest scale we have seen in the franchises’ twenty-year history, but you’ll still be familiar with many of the game’s mechanics and systems. This includes evolving Pokemon, which is done using the same techniques as always. Here is how to evolve Steenee in Pokemon Sword & Shield.

How to Get Steenee

Steenee is a grass type Pokemon that evolves from Bounsweet. If for whatever reason you are reading this guide and do not have a Bounsweet then you can find and catch Bounsweet within East Lake Axewell. From there, evolving Bounsweet to Steenee will occur naturally once it was reached level 18.

There is, however, another evolution following Stenee called Tsareena.

Steenee will evolve to Tsareena on its own once it has learned the Stomp ability. This will occur at level 29.

Of course, all Pokemon level-up after being used in battle, but you can always use experience candy to level them more quickly. Candy comes in different sizes that each give a different XP boost, which is as follows:

  • XL – 30000
  • L – 10000
  • M – 3000
  • S – 800
  • XS – 100
