How to Buy Cars in Need for Speed Heat
While you can change which car you’re using and install new parts on it from a Garage, you’ll need to go somewhere else to actually get new rides.
If you’re out and about and decide that you want to buy a new car, you’ll need to head to the Dealership, which is helpfully very close to the main Garage that you start at every time you load up the game.
Look for the handshake like icon just by the Garage icon in the middle of the map. There’s a kind of circular road that goes around the outside of the Garage and Dealership. Just follow it round from the Garage and you’ll be able to buy cars.
Once you’re there, press R1 if you’re on PS4 (RB on Xbox One) to enter it. You’ll then be able to scroll through the cars that are available to you. You buy them with cash, which you earn mainly by racing during the day, and more unlock to be purchased as you increase your REP level.
Just press X (PS4) or A (Xbox One) on the car you want to buy and then confirm it. You’ll then be able to jump in it straight away and drive off into the night (or day).
