Luigi’s Mansion 3 is full of tricky ghost bosses that are trying to stop Luigi in his tracks while he’s trying to defeat King Boo and save his friends, and there is something that these ghosts have in common and that is the fact they all have some sort of occupation or duties around the hotel.
So, we thought it would be fun to rank all of the ghost bosses in Luigi’s Mansion 3 based on miserable their job is at this extremely dangerous hotel.
15. Caveman – Ug
This might be a strange pick for the best spot on the list but hear me out.
Being a caveman isn’t really a job. You don’t have to worry about making money to making ends meet. Everyone wears the same loincloth so you don’t have to worry about looking good around the other cave-people, and best of all, you can just pick berries and hunt some animals for the rest of your life.
It’s the simple life for this caveman and If I had to choose one ghost job to have in Luigi’s Mansion, let this one be it.
14. Film Director – Morty
The perks of being a ghost director without a crew is that you have the liberty of having total creative freedom on your projects. It might get lonely sometimes but imagine all of the cool films and television shows that you could create by hiring some ghosts as your talent.
You can make sitcoms, epic fantasy films, mockumentaries, or anything else that’s stuck in your mind.
It’s your show and you can do whatever you want with the multiple soundstages that are built on this floor of the hotel and that just sounds awesome
13. Egyptian Goddess – Serpci
Being an Egyptian ghost goddess has got to be fantastic. It’s like being a king, but it comes with way more royal gifts.
You can have your own pyramid, you can go get a tan outside in the burning Egyptian sun, and you can have your own cat.
You’ll also have tons of murals of yourself scattered amongst the pyramid and all of your loyal subjects would do anything for you.
12. King MacFrights
I mean, how could you beat a King in terms of occupation? You have tons of loyal servants, the kingdom (hotel room floor) is yours to see fit, and you have a nice padded chair to sit on in your arena.
People will feed you grapes, you can put two people to death and watch them fight, and you can just do whatever you want –how could that be better?
Oh, I know.
11. DJ Phantasmagloria
Going to clubs and dancing at parties is fun until you get tired/drunk/kicked out by the police. But, when you’re a ghost, you don’t have to worry about sleep or getting sick or whatnot, leaving you to have fun and listen to music all night long.
Being a DJ in a cool ghost club sounds freakin’ awesome and you can keep the party going all night long until the sun comes up and then you can do it all over again. And since you’re the only DJ in the ghost world, you’ll probably be very famous and renowned throughout the hotel.
10. Chef Soulffle
This chef in Luigi’s Mansion 3 has his own kitchen and staff in the Last Resort hotel and that is quite the accomplishment.
Chef Soulffle can whip up any ghostly meal and you know what? The ghost patrons are going to love it because they won’t be able to actually taste anything… because they’re dead.
Imagine being able to cook anything –even if it tastes bad– and having customers enjoy it, regardless if it’s literal garbage.
I don’t think I’m a good cook but being a ghost chef sounds great.
9. Professional Swimmer – Johnny Deepend
So, we’re not entirely sure of Johnny Deepend is a professional swimmer or some kind of swimming ghost coach, but for the sake of this feature, we’ll just say that he’s paid for what he does, and that alone is awesome.
Not only does Johnny have a wicked surname, but he gets to just lounge around in a swimming pool and play aquatic sports. He also has access to a huge gym, a hot yoga room, and a bike room.
Getting fit in the afterlife has never crossed my mind but it sounds pretty fun now that I think about it.
8. Pianist – Amadeus Wolfgeist
Being able to play music professionally has always been a dream job of mine, specifically playing the piano. Amadeus Wolfgeist gets to have an entire theater to himself while he plays tunes for the rest of eternity.
Being in my own big room with fantastic acoustics and a large professional grand piano sounds like a treat… until Luigi comes and messes your day up.
7. Pirate – Captain Fishook
This pirate shark is the captain of his own ghost ship and you cannot tell me that that’s not simply amazing. You get to control your own crew, you can sing some silly pirate songs, and you can just sail the seven seas while looking for some treasure or something.
“Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate’s life for me.” The song says it all.
6. Magicians – Nikki, Lindsey & Ginny
I think we can all agree that going to a magician’s magic show can be pretty entertaining and is such a laugh when you have some alcohol in your system, but have you ever met a magician in real life?
Magicians are really annoying when they’re not on a stage and I can bet that these three girls would love to pull a quarter out of your ear or pull some flowers out of their cuffs to try to impress you and it ain’t cute.
5. Gardener – Dr. Potter
Hmm. Taking care of a garden all day and water flowers sounds like a dream to me, especially if you’re an older person like Dr. Potter over here.
The only issue that I have with being a gardener is that it seems like it may be a lonely experience. Hey, I like being alone more than the next guy, but eventually, you’re going to want to hang out with friends or something and show off your beautiful tomato plant.
4. Mechanic – Clem
Making sure that the entirety of the hotel is up to keep is the job of Clem the mechanic. It’s up to him to make sure nothing is going wrong in the basement and honestly, that sounds like such a headache.
Truth be told, you would be able to get your hands a little dirty and use a monkey wrench or two, but having oil and grease all over your body sounds like a nightmare to me, but if you like that sort of thing, this might not be the worst occupation out there.
3. Mall Cop – Kruller
Being a security guard for an establishment is fine and all but being an actual mall cop in Luigi’s Mansion has got be the worst. You have to deal with ghost kids stealing candy from the candy store and people stealing clothes, and you have to do it all without actually being able to carry a gun or any cool weapons.
You get a flashlight, some keys, and those motorized scooter things, and that’s pretty much it. The hours are probably terrible too. And the worst part is that now you have to deal with Luigi coming in trying to suck you up into his vacuum –as if the job wasn’t hard enough.
2. Maid – Chambrea
Being a maid must not be that great either, as you have to clean up after disgusting people that leave behind stains, garbage, and boxes of pizza in their hotel rooms.
I guess the only good thing about this job is that you get to wear a cute maid outfit and you can probably get away with stealing some toilet paper and other toiletries but the job is still pretty crappy.
Picking up after other people’s messes has got to be a pretty annoying occupation but actually having to carry all of their luggage and keeping it safe has got to be even worse.
What if something in the luggage breaks? Will they blame it on you? Will they try to sue you? You only make a couple of bucks an hour and you need that money to support your ghost family.
Being a steward in a hotel that’s only occupied by other ghosts has got to suck, which is why we have this job at the bottom of the list of ghost occupations in Luigi’s Mansion 3.
Also, the poor guy actually tries to do his job, only to be sucked up by Luigi –what a meanie.
