Where to Find the Tommy Wiseau Easter Egg in Borderlands 3

When you go back to Pandora, you’ll be able to take on a new side mission from an NPC who looks suspiciously like the director of the movie The Room. He is not, in fact, named Tommy Wiseau, and is simply referred to as the Buff Film Buff in Borderlands 3.

To take on this side mission, which is titled Film Buff, just head back to Pandora and go to the Devil’s Razor area. You’ll find him marked on your map as a new side quest giver. Talk to him to start the mission.

The fun thing about this NPC is that his mannerisms and speech are extremely similar to Wiseau’s, and he’s done quite a good impression of the film icon. The quest itself is quite straightforward as well, and features a few throwbacks and references to Wiseau and his movie.

The side mission will task you with searching for the NPC’s ECHO device in several trash cans before killing an enemy named Rohner, and finally replacing a projector bulb.

Once you’ve completed all the objectives, head back to the NPC to complete the quest, and you’ll be rewarded with money and experience points.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like you can get any cool weapons or gear from this quest, but if you’re a Wiseau fan, the quest itself should’ve been worth your time. We think.

Time needed: 15 minutes
