Year 4 continues to add content to the Rainbow Six Siege community, as Season 2 brings operation Ember Rise. Like past DLC, the 14th expansion brings two new operators: Amaru and Goyo. Here is everything you need to know about how to get new operators in Rainbow Six Siege Ember Rise.
How to Get New Operators in Rainbow Six Siege Ember Rise
As always, the easiest way to get each of these two new operators is by purchasing the Year 4 Pass.
For $29.99, this pass will unlock each operator automatically. All you have to do to play them in the game is to go to the operator’s tab located in the top center of the main menu.
From here, you can equip and customize Amaru and Goyo, as well as read over their overview and get used to their abilities and perks.
Alongside this, you’ll also get everything else that comes with the Year 4 pass. This includes complimentary alpha packs, numerous discounts, and all of the other operators that have been and are set to be released during each season.
If you don’t want to spend real-life currency on unlocking the new Ember Rise operators, you’ll just have to do things the old fashion way. You’ll do this by earning renown throughout Rainbow Six Siege.
Earning renown in Rainbow Six Siege is pretty straightforward, as it is given out at the end of each match based on how well you do. As such, the better you do, the more renown you’ll unlock.
Also, be sure to complete each of the tutorial missions as well, as 100%-ing each mission will earn you a large amount of renown.
Once you’ve earned enough, head to the operators’ tab in the menu screen and choose either attacker or defender.
From here, choose the unlock operator button at the top. Once you do, it will take you to a screen that features all of the operators you’ve yet to unlock.
From there, just pick Amaru and Goyo and select “Unlock with renown.”
In total, each operator 25,000 renown or 600 R6 Credits.
