NBA 2K20 features one of the most in-depth story modes that have ever taken place in a video game. So much so that some players just want to skip to the end of the opening act and get right to the NBA. Here is everything you need to know about how to skip the prelude in NBA 2K20.

At first glance, it doesn’t seem like you can skip the prelude, as there is no option to when you are playing it.

The game makes it seems like in order to get to the NBA, you’ll need to play through all the training and games that come along with the prelude.

This can obviously be sped up considerably by skipping cut scenes, but the drills and games will still take a lot of time.

The good news is that the prelude can be immediately skipped using the other slot for your character.

How to Skip the Prelude in NBA 2K20

As such, just foul out of the game and exit the prelude at your first opportunity.

Next, go into MyCareer and start a new career using either a new build or the same character you had before.

Next, a prompt will ask you if you want to skip the prelude. Select yes and you’ll be able to pick which team you want to be on automatically.

No matter what team you get, you’ll start out with a 750 VC salary.

  1. Open the prelude, foul out of your first game, and exit as soon as you can

  2. Start a new MyCareer

    You can use a new or pre-established build

  3. Select the option to skip the prelude
