The first thing that you’ll do that has any bearing on changing hair is selecting your appearance.

Whether you scan your face in or choose from one of the default models, this will set which basic hair model you’ll have at first.

That is just the basic hair you’re provided though. For your first real opportunity to change hair in NBA 2K20, you have to play up until the draft.

Right before the draft, Che can customize his clothing and hair in preparation for the big day.

This is the first in-game time you can customize things for him and is completely free for the options that are provided.

Once you’ve unlocked the Neighborhood though, players can customize Che’s appearance whenever they please.

When you get inside the Neighborhood head over to the barbershop. If you’re having trouble finding it, just look for the iconic red, white, and blue swirl bar that is attached to the shop.

Walk up to the barber and there will be a catalog of new haircuts that you can look through before selecting which one you want to buy.

After previewing each new do, look at the bottom to see how much it costs. You’ll obviously need to have enough VC in order to purchase the item, so check out this guide if you need a bit more help acquiring some.

To Summarize,

  1. Go to the Barber before the Draft

This is the first time you’ll get to customize your hair and will occur automatically

  2. Go to the Barbershop in the Neighborhood

Look for the red, white, and blue swirl bar

  3. Choose between your looks and spend VC points to get the hair you want
