Greedfall Romance Explained: How to Romance All Characters

This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

Greedfall, the new Bioware inspired action RPG from Spiders, is out now and you’ll be exploring Teer Fradee to meet all everyone and complete all the quests. As you’d expect, there are relationships in the game too. So that you can become more than companions, here’s everything you need to know about how to romance all characters in Greedfall.

All Characters You Can Romance in Greedfall

While you’ll come across five different companions during your playthrough of Greedfall, you won’t actually be able to romance them all.

Companions join in with everything in the story, combat, and exploration, and each have benefits when part of your team.

You meet Kurt right at the start of the game and eventually stumble across Aphra, with you being able to choose two of the five to be part of your team.

When it comes to romancing though, only the following four can be romanced:

  • Kurt
  • Aphra
  • Siora
  • Vasco

Also, you won’t be able to choose from all of them in the same Greedfall playthrough as they have different sexualities. Kurt and Aphra are straight, so can only be romanced by male and female De Sardet respectively, while Siora and Vasco are bisexual, allowing either for De Sardet to begin a relationship with them.

There is a trophy/achievement available for romancing each of the four characters too.

How to Romance Them

Thankfully, romancing them can be pretty simple if you take the time to talk to them and learn what they want.

While they’re part of your team, you’ll see that you can talk to them by pressing triangle if you’re on PS4 (Y on Xbox One).

After a while, they’ll begin to talk to you about their troubles and ask you to help them on personal side quests.

As you complete more of those side quests in Greedfall and gain favor with them, you’ll eventually be able to start a relationship with them.

However, do keep in mind that relationships can be pretty tricky to manage in Greedfall. Throughout the political and moral struggle that’s at the center of the game’s story, you’ll often have to choose between dialogue options that could anger your companions.

Choose the right option and your relationship will improve, but anger them and it could even lead to them attacking you. Just be careful of what you say when trying to romance a character in Greedfall.

Are There Sex Cutscenes

If you’re a Bioware fan and are hoping for a similar experience in Greedfall as you had in the likes of Mass Effect, you might be disappointed.

As far as we know or have seen so far, there are no sex cutscenes in the game, for any of the characters that you can romance.

In short,

  1. You can romance Kurt, Aphra, Siora, and Vasco.

Kurt can only be romanced by male De Sardet and Aphra only be female.

  2. You need to talk to them a lot, complete their personal side quests, and choose the options that’ll please them in main quest dialogue.
