If you’ve been looking through your inventory in Oninaki, you’ve probably noticed your weapons have an upgrade progression bar. This likely had you trying to figure out how to upgrade weapons, with little to no idea of how to do so.
Luckily, we’re here to help. *Warning: Minor Spoilers Ahead*
How and Where to Upgrade Weapons in Oninaki
In Oninaki, Weapons can be upgraded at the Alchemist’s Shop found in Deto. However, the shop will be closed until after you’ve successfully defeated Kushi following his possession by the Night Devil.
Once you’ve defeated Kushi, head to Deto and look for a golden rectangular icon on the left side of the area, tucked into an outcropping area from the main map. Go to the icon, and then speak to the shopkeeper to access the right menu.
To summarize,
- After Defeating Kushi, Head to Deto
The Shop where you can upgrade weapons won’t be open until Kushi is defeated.
- Head to the Alchemist’s Shop
This can be found on the left side of the city, in an outcropping section of the map.
- Speak to the shopkeeper
Doing so will open the menu that you can select Upgrade Weapons from.
Which Weapons You Should Use for Upgrade Materials
After you do, you’ll be presented with the option to upgrade your weapons in Oninaki by breaking down your old or unused ones for materials.
The quality of the weapons you breakdown will impact how much stronger you make the weapon you’re upgrading, and can help you fully upgrade the weapon faster.
Likewise, higher quality weapons in Oninaki will have a higher improvement threshold, allowing you to make them more powerful than lower level ones could ever become.
To this end, you should focus on improving the highest quality weapon you have with weapons that are either duplicates of what you already have or are a lower level of quality.
This will ensure you have the best weapon possible and that you aren’t wasting weapons that could have be used towards enhancing better equipment.
That should cover everything you’d need to know about how to upgrade weapons in Oninaki. For more on all things Oninaki, be sure to search for Twinfinite, or check out our guide on how to change Daemons.
