What Are Code Names For in Harry Potter Wizards Unite?

When you first start up Harry Potter Wizards Unite, you will be asked to create a unique code name that is basically your username. Other players can see it and you have to choose one that’s not already taken by another player.

As for right now, it seems like players are unable to change their code name once they decide on a name for themselves, so be sure to pick one that you really like.

If you would like to see what your code name is all you have to do is click on the suitcase icon on the bottom of the screen and then click on the gear icon on the top-left of the screen.

This will bring you to the settings screen and then if you press on the big question mark on the bottom right, that’ll bring you to a different part of the setting and there you will see your code name right there on the top. You can sign out or link/unlink your account there as well.

Code names can also be seen by other nearby players at times like if you use a Dark Detector at an Inn to attract more Foundables (like Pokemon GO’s lures). Players can click on the Inn and see the names of who put the detector down.

That’s everything you need to know about code names in Harry Potter Wizards Unite. For more on the new AR mobile game, do be sure to visit our ever-expanding wiki guide right here –it’s full of useful info if you’re just getting into the game.
