How to Get

The Smoldering Tailspike is a common drop from the Charrogg. This is one of the first Behemoths you will take on during your adventures in Dauntless.

Focus on attacking the tail of this monster to cut it off and increase your chances of getting the Smoldering Tailspike. Using the sword, axe, or chainblades are the only weapons that will successfully break the Charrogg’s tail off.

You may need to slay this Behemoth multiple times to obtain the Smoldering Tailspike as it’s not a guaranteed drop.

What It’s Used For

The Smoldering Tailspike is used to craft and upgrade the Charrogg armor and weapons set. You will need a lot of them to craft the entire set so be prepared to grind out this Behemoth a few times.

Partying up with a team will make this a significantly easier grind because it will allow you to coordinate your weapon load-outs to ensure everyone can cut the tail off.

Once you have enough material, you will be able to craft the Charrogg set, which will grant you fire resistance. This will come in handy for fighting other fire behemoths down the line.

Well, that is everything you need to know about how to get Smoldering Tailspike and what it’s used for in Dauntless. If you want more tips, tricks, guides, be sure to check out Twinfinite.
