Inspired by games like Stardew Valley and Zelda, Forager is a 2D survival game in which players explore, craft, and build their way across the environment. One of the items you’ll need in some crafting recipes and quests is Leather, and you won’t be able to rely on droids to find it. Here’s how to get leather in Forager if you’re stuck.
How to Get Leather in Forager
Leather is a resource you’ll need plenty of throughout your playthrough of Forager. It’s used in dozens of recipes, from backpacks and gloves to swords and bows. But to actually farm the resource and keep a plentiful supply, you’ll need to get yourself a Wizard Scroll.
The Wizard Scroll is particularly handy as it allows you to convert resources into animals. In turn, these animals can be killed and harvested for hides, which is a source of leather.
Therefore, the key to getting leather in Forager is knowing how to get a wizard scroll.
Getting a Wizard Scroll
The wizard scroll is available after obtaining the Expert Scrolls skill and Inscription skill, which you can both acquire by leveling up and allocating a point to the appropriate skill.
From here, you then want to focus on obtaining the materials needed to make a Wizard Scroll: Paper (x5), Purple Pigment (x5), and Bottled Deathmoth (x5).
- Paper can be made at an inscription table with five Wood and five Flowers.
- Purple Pigment can be made out of two Beets, two Nightshade and two Lavender.
- For Bottled Deathmoths, head over to the fire biome area and track down a Deathmoth; use an empty bottle to capture it. You’ll need to repeat this five times.
From there, you’ll have everything you need to make a Wizard Scroll and start converting resources to animals which you can then slaughter to get leather. It’s a pretty twisted process when you think about it, isn’t it?
Anyway, we didn’t make the rules! That’s everything you should need to know about how to get leather in Forager. For more useful tips and guides on the game, be sure to search Twinfinite.
