Media Create shared its weekly analysis and top 50 and had some interesting information on the debut performance of Nintendo’s Yoshi’s Crafted World in Japan.
According to the firm’s estimates, Yoshi’s Crafted World sold 53,327 units (which is a bit higher than Famitsu’s estimate) in its debut week and sold 35.96% of the initial shipment. That being said, absolute sales numbers are higher than Yoshi’s Woolly World in 2015, which debuted with 31,000 units on Wii U.
Poochy and Yoshi’s Woolly World on 3DS in 2017 also debuted with lower sales (roughly 40,000 units).
That being said, Switch sales actually dropped by about 10% compared to the previous week (50,367 units, which pretty much match Famitsu’s estimate), and Media Create argues that Yoshi’s Crafted World didn’t have a traction effect on the console’s sales.
