Mortal Kombat 11 is a game about destroying your enemy, quite literally, in the most powerfully gruesome ways. Here’s how to do Amplified Special Moves in Mortal Kombat 11.
While the goal of every Mortal Kombat match is to come out the winner, we all know the real goal is finishing the match with a Fatality. An easy way to do that is through the use of powerful moves like Amplified Special moves.
Before we dive into how to do that, it’s important that you know what these are.
What Amplified Special Moves Are in Mortal Kombat 11
These moves are simply one of your character’s special moves, except strengthened. When you use one of these moves, you’ll deal extra damage and likely an extra effect.
Sometimes, these effects can be a larger opening for a kombo opportunity.
Unlike Fatal Blows and Fatalities, there isn’t a new gruesome animation to go along with these moves. It’s just the animation of one of your special moves — it’s just that this move is extra strong.
How to Do Amplified Special Moves
To perform one of these, you must build up your offensive bar.
When this is built up, perform a special move as you would normally and then follow up the move by holding R1/RB/R. If done correctly, the move will have an additional effect that usually leads to more damage or a kombo opportunity.
How to Determine Which Special Moves Can Be Amplified
To determine which of your special moves can be amplified, you can look at your move list. Moves that can be amplified will be indicated as able to do such within a fighter’s move list.
That’s it for our guide on amplified special moves in Mortal Kombat 11, including what they are, how to do them and how to see which moves can be amplified.
