Upon completing them all, you’ll then be able to track down the week 8 secret banner. Here’s where to find it.

What the Week 8 Loading Screen Looks Like

The week 8 loading screen is all about the Ruin skin, seemingly rising from the flames within the volcano… or just some strange cave. If you’re struggling to figure out where the clue to the week 8 secret banner location is, we’re here to help point it out to you.

In both the bottom left and bottom right-hand corners, on the wall you’ll be able to make out some coordinates. These are B6 and B7 on the left, and C6 and C7 on the right. We won’t give you three guesses to figure out what these are eluding to the location of.

If you hadn’t already guessed, those coordinates that can be found in Fortnite’s week 8 loading screen are actually directing you right to the location of the secret banner. If you check the mini-map in Fortnite, you’ll find that these four coordinates converge on a single point atop a large iceberg on the frozen lake. You can check out our screenshot down below.

The first thing you’ll want to do is place a marker here so that you can easily figure out where you’re going as soon as you hope out of the Battle Bus. Glide down and land atop of the iceberg. There’s a chest up here too, so we suggest grabbing that and having any weapons at the ready in case other players drop alongside you.

The week 8 secret banner should appear atop the iceberg pretty much where we’re standing in the screenshot above. Please not we grabbed this image in Playground mode for speed and convenience, but you’ll have to grab it in a normal Solo, Duo, Squad, or LTM mode. The week 8 secret banner cannot be obtained in Playground or Creative modes.

Once the banner appears, all you need to do is walk on over to it and press and hold X, Y, E, or Square to pick it up.

How to Use the Secret Banner

If you’re wondering what you’ve been collecting these secret banners for, let us explain exactly what it is that they do. Simply put, they’re a cosmetic item that you can change the icon and color of to best represent you.

This can be done by heading to the ‘Locker’ tab from the lobby screen. In the bottom left corner, you’ll find the Banner option. Simply select this and you’ll then be able to change the icon and color of your banner. Once you’re happy with your changes, be sure to hit ‘Apply’ and your banner will be updated.
