Fortnite Season 8 has arrived, bringing with it a huge new volcano, pirate camps, and a new Battle Pass to work towards. One of the new cosmetics that you can get is the Banana Skin (Peely), which doesn’t exactly fit with the volcano theme. Here’s everything you need to know about how to get the Banana Skin (Peely) in Fortnite Season 8.
How to Get Banana Skin
The Banana Skin, also known as Peely, is an Epic outfit that you need to unlock with the Battle Pass. Once you’ve unlocked the Battle Pass, the details on how to do are here, you will be able to start working towards it.
To get the Banana Skin in Fortnite Season 8, you need to unlock the Tier 47 rewards from the Battle Pass.
You can either earn stars by playing matches and completing challenges, or you can use V-Bucks to unlock additional tiers. Once you’ve reached Tier 47, you will be able to equip the skin from the Locker section of Fortnite’s menu. You can see what it looks like from the screenshot below.
How it Ripens in Fortnite Season 8
The Banana Skin in Fortnite doesn’t just look yellow, however. Over the course of a match, it will ripen, seeing the skin go to a full bright yellow color, and then look old if you outlast opponents and get towards the end of the game.
How it’ll look if you win a game of Battle Royale, we do not know yet. It’s great to see a skin in the game that changes over time, though. Hopefully that becomes something that appears more often.
