How to Get & Change Skills in Travis Strikes Again
It’s been about nine years since the last No More Heroes game released back on the Nintendo Wii, and this Katana-wielding otaku is starring in this side story that while not a true sequel to No More Heroes 2, acts more like a fresh start for our hero. Here’s how to get and change skills in Travis Strikes Again.
Travis Strikes Again throws Travis into a video game system called the Death Drive MK-II, where he ends up trapped with a villain called Badman.
You can get skills in Travis Strikes Again by keeping an eye out for Skill Chips. These are scattered throughout the different Death Ball games, and you’ll need to often venture off the beaten path to find them.
You’ll also get one of these for completing each game, so be sure to check out your available skills after each Death Ball you finish.
The Skills you learn can be equipped by accessing the Lv. UP & Skills menu which you can find by pressing + on your Nintendo Switch controller. From here, select the character whose skills you want to change, press A, and then use the left analog stick to highlight the Skill Set option.
You’ll now be able to select the different Skills you currently have equipped, and change them out from a complete list of all of the Skill Chips you’ve currently obtained in Travis Strikes Again.
Once you’re done assigning all of your loadout of moves, you can then use the Save Presets option so you can quickly change and return to this loadout in the future.
Now that you’re all set choosing your skills, it’s time to know how to use them in Travis Strikes Again. To use skills, simply press and hold the L button on your controller, and then press the face button (A, B, X or Y) that corresponds to the one you want to use.
You can easily identify which skill is assigned to which face button by checking on the left side of the screen and looking for the little icons just above Travis’ health gauge (his body).
That’s pretty much everything you need to know about how to learn and use skills in Travis Strikes Again. For more tips, tricks, and general help, please be sure to check out our ever-expanding wiki on the game, which you can access right here.
Travis Strikes Again is available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
