It’s not just the characters that you can level up in Kingdom Hearts 3. Sora’s various Keyblades can also be leveled up, or ‘powered up’ to give you an advantage in battle. Problem is, it’s not as simple as just earning experience.  Here’s how to level up all Keyblades in Kingdom Hearts 3.

Leveling up Keyblades in Kingdom Hearts 3 is done via the Moogle Shop. Specifically, you want to access this, which can be found in pretty much every world in the game, and then use the Workshop option. From here, you should then see Keyblade Forge.

Keyblade Forge is where you’ll be able to use materials you’ve found on your adventure in Kingdom Hearts 3 to upgrade and level up (or ‘power up’ as the game calls it).

How to level up all keyblades in Kingdom Hearts 3

Each Keyblade requires the same kinds of materials for each level, as you’ll see in our list below. As long as you have the required materials to level up the Keyblade to the next level, simply press X on PS4 or A on Xbox One, and confirm your choice in order to level it up.

By doing this, you’ll increase the Keyblade’s Strength and Magic stats. Not something to turn your nose up at if you’re finding some of the later battles in the game are causing you some trouble.

Leveling up a Keyblade will improve its base stats, strength, magic, or sometimes both depending on the Keyblade. In some cases, the weapon will also learn a new ability at certain levels.

Down below, you’ll find a complete list of all Keyblades and the materials you’ll need in order to level them up in Kingdom Hearts 3.

Keyblade Level Up Materials

Every Keyblade in Kingdom Hearts 3 will require the same materials to level up, but those materials will change from level to level. Here’s what you’ll need, however, we don’t quite yet have the info for the final level, Level 10. We’ll make sure to update this guide when we do though.

  • Level 1 – Fluorite x1, Wellspring Shard x2
