Call of Duty: Black Ops 4

Starting off our list of the best FPS games of Q4 2018, of course, we have the annual Call of Duty release. This year, Treyarch did things a little differently by completely removing the traditional single-player campaign we’ve all gotten so used to.

In its place, we’ve gotten three fully-fledged multiplayer modes.

Traditional multiplayer is back of course, and so is the Zombies mode, which comes with a few different scenarios for you to try your hand at.

In addition to that, Black Ops 4 also introduced Blackout, a brand new battle royale mode. It also happens to be the best and most polished military sim battle royale we’ve seen so far.

Above all else, Black Ops 4 still features incredibly fun and tight gunplay, as we’ve come to expect from the Call of Duty series.

While we were a little apprehensive about the lack of a single-player mode at first, we ended up embracing the game’s full multiplayer focus and feel that Black Ops 4 is all the better for it.

Without a doubt, Black Ops 4 has secured its spot as one of the best FPS games of Q4 2018.
