Can You Play Home Run Contest in Smash Bros Ultimate? What You Need to Know
Nintendo’s epic brawler series, Super Smash Bros, has finally arrived on Switch. Smash Bros Ultimate is the biggest game in the series yet, with a roster of over 70 characters, over 100 stages on offer, and a whole host of content to dive into in both single and multiplayer modes. A fan favorite mode from past entries in the series was the Home Run Contest, and of course, fans are wondering if you can play Home Run Contest in Smash Bros Ultimate, too.
Sadly, it looks like we have to be the bearers of some tragic news today. Having spent countless hours in Smash Bros Ultimate, we’ve not seen the option to play Home Run Contest in the menus anywhere.
Considering this has been a long-standing mode in the Smash Bros series, we’re still keeping an eye out for it showing up as an unlockable at some point, but having cleared World of Light and numerous characters’ Classic Modes, it seems unlikely.
There’s always the possibility that Home Run Contest could show up as part of a DLC drop or a free update now that Smash Bros Ultimate is officially released, but there’s been no word of this happening just yet. It’s merely us speculating, and hoping, that it could happen.
If, of course, Home Run Contest does show up in Smash Bros Ultimate, we’ll be sure to update this post and let you know exactly how you can play it.
