Fortnite: How to Get Weapons in Creative Mode

How to Get Weapons in Fortnite Creative Mode

Recommended Videos

With the start of Fortnite Season 7, Epic Games introduced Creative Mode to the fray. This mode stands alongside the Battle Royale and Save the World modes, and offers players their very own islands to create whatever they wish with the building materials and various items on offer in the game. Of course, some players may be struggling to get or find any guns or weapons. Here’s how to get weapons in Fortnite Creative mode.

The first thing you’ll notice when hopping into Fortnite Creative mode is this really is a blank canvas of sorts. There are very few buildings littering the islands at your disposal, and no weapons waiting to be picked up off the ground. Nor will you find any chests or llamas just laying about for you to grab either.

Creative mode is all about building whatever you like. You’ll need to access your inventory in order to get weapons and other items. This isn’t the cell phone that’s in your inventory, to begin with.

To get weapons in Fortnite Creative mode, you’ll need to press up on the d-pad on console, or press ‘I’ on PC. After doing this, you’ll need to tab your way over to the ‘Weapons’ list. You’ll now be able to choose any weapons you want and either automatically equip them into your inventory, or you can ‘Add to Chest’ to then select multiple items to create chests and llamas out of should you want to do it that way.

We’ve included a screenshot of what the weapons screen looks like from your inventory in Creative mode.

It’s worth noting that any weapons you get in Creative mode this way will only come with a single clip of ammo. As such, you may want to spawn some additional weapon alongside whatever weapons you want. To do this, you’ll need to go over to the ‘Consumables’ tab just next to weapons and select whichever ammo your weapon takes.

Finally, if you are going the route of getting weapons in Creative mode by creating various chests, you’ll need to essentially ‘shortlist’ whichever weapons and items you want to include with the ‘Add to Chest’ option.

From here, it’s then a case of tabbing over to the ‘Chest’ option and then selecting either the option to Create Llama (Y on Xbox One and Triangle on PS4) or Create Chest (A on Xbox One and X on PS4). This will cause a chest or llama to spawn directly in front of your position, so you can then open whenever you like in Creative mode.
