How to Build in Pathfinder Kingmaker
The first step to being a good leader is by creating a reputable kingdom. Here’s how to build in Pathfinder Kingmaker.
Pathfinder Kingmaker places you in the shoes of a budding leader who starts out as a local lord. As you make your way through the game, you’ll have the option to expand upon your kingdom and build more buildings and homes.
Before anything else, however, it’s important that you learn how to actually build things first in Pathfinder Kingmaker. If you’re still struggling with starting your kingdom, here’s a basic overview of everything you need to know.
Firstly, you need to pull up your Kingdom Management section and check if you have annexed a region and built a village on one of the flagged locations. If you haven’t built a village already, check any of the unmarked flags to start one.
Once your village is up in Pathfinder Kingmaker, simply click it and look for the Build option. You will then pull up a wide variety of different buildings and settlements you can begin laying out.
You will notice that there are six special stats that you need to keep in mind when building in Pathfinder Kingmaker: Divine, Community, Economics, Military, and Relations, and Loyalty. Make sure you spread out each of these stats evenly when building a settlement.
It’s important to note, however, that you will need Building Points (BP) when you want to build or upgrade your settlement in Pathfinder Kingmaker. This is your realm’s main resource, so you will want to use them wisely.
That being said, we personally recommend that you save up your initial BP for founding the barony to prioritize annexing territory or pursuing lucrative Trade Deals with neighboring nations. These trade deals will help you get more BP each week which, in turn, will help you build your kingdom faster.
How to Get More BP (Building Points) in Pathfinder Kingmaker
Aside from doing this method, there’s another way you can get your hands on BP. Aside from your weekly gain, you can purchase BP from the merchant, Hassuf, at the marketplace.
You will have to shell out 80 gold per point, so keep that in mind if you plan on splurging. Don’t be afraid to invest in new settlements, although just keep in mind that you can always just buy more.
