Call of Duty’s Zombies mode is all about survival and making sure you are stocked up to take out the horde. Working together with your teammates and making sure everyone is holding their own is key to getting out alive. However, sometimes things go awry and you have to improvise.

Some of the best Black Ops 4 zombies moments come from the chaos the comes from things falling apart. When your plan starts to crumble, you’ll want some perks to fall back on to ensure your survival. If you don’t have the right ones, however, you could be in for a bit of trouble. Here are the best Black Ops 4 Zombies perks you should be using while you play.

Unlocking different perks will require leveling up in Zombies, which is a separate level up from Blackout and multiplayer. You will be able to customize the ones you bring into zombies before loading into a match once you’ve unlocked them.

To customize these perks simply go into your create a class menu while in the Zombies lobby. You’ll see a slot for inserting which perks you will bring into the match. These are not given to you at the start of a match, but can be bought at specific points on each map throughout the game. Select the four you wish to bring into the map and you’ll be all ready to go.

Since you can only hold four perks at any given time, we’ve chosen the best Black Ops 4 zombies perks to take along with you for the fight.

  • Timeslip: Reduce your ability cooldown rate. Mystery Box and Pack-a-Punch weapons appear faster.  This is incredibly important because you never want to be standing still. Being able to pick up important items without waiting for a long time will keep you on the move. Having your cooldown rate reduce will definitely help you when you’re in a pinch.
  • Mule Kick (Level 38): You can carry an additional primary weapon. This perk is great because carrying a third weapon not only gives you more variety, but it helps ammo management. Having a third fully loaded weapon decreases the overall amount of time you’re running around without ammunition.
  • Deadshot Dealer (Level 18): Automatically aim at zombies’ heads when aiming down the sights. Reduces spray when aiming from the hip. This one is an absolute must when playing for the long haul. Getting headshots will again conserve ammo and at higher levels it will be key to slaughtering the horde. The enemies will get more powerful as the rounds increase and headshots will be key in taking them down quickly.
  • Quick Revive: Revive players faster. No matter how hard you fight, you will eventually get knocked down, whether its by an off-screen zombie or maybe just a bad idea of your own, it will eventually happen. Having a team with the quick revive perk will help you get back on your feet before you get overwhelmed.
