How to Upgrade the Tank Hafen in Valkyria Chronicles 4
Valkyria Chronicles 4 brings back the type of gameplay that fans know and love. This time around, you’re in charge of a squad that’s going through the same war – at the same time – that the main cast from Valkyria Chronicles 1 went through. The tank this time around is named Hafen after their lovely hometown, and it can of course be upgraded to be made all the better. Here’s how to upgrade the tank in Valkyria Chronicles 4.
To upgrade the tank up, you need to go to the Headquarters tab. If you haven’t unlocked this yet, don’t worry, it comes after Chapter 1 so just keep playing Valkyria Chronicles 4.
Once you do, though, you need to go to HQ and head to the R&D Facility. You’re able to develop upgrades to your tank as well as your soldiers here. Weapons, armor, uniforms, etc. It’s all in here. The only thing you’re definitely going to need is DCT, or the money within the game, in order to buy it all.
Go to Develop Tank Parts to start developing upgrades for the Hafen Tank. Buy any upgrades that you want, and then you’re going to have to install them. This works a bit like a puzzle mini-game, as you try to fit the best parts on it, in order to upgrade the tank best. You need to do this in Install Parts (still within R&D).
It’s important to add also that you can change up the Hafen’s camo and decals, too! These will also have affects to its stats, along with literally every other upgrade you might do. You need to balance how you want your Hafen to behave and what role you’d rather it have with the stats you build.
