Valkyria Chronicles 4: How to Use Orders

How to Use Orders in Valkyria Chronicles 4

Recommended Videos

Valkyria Chronicles 4 is finally here, and fans of the series will get to dive back into all that tactical RPG goodness the series is known for. This time around, we’ve got a whole new squad and cast of characters to get to know, and the game’s story is set to give us a new perspective on the Second European War. Just like in previous games, Valkyria Chronicles 4 features Orders that you can use, which will give you a slight advantage in combat. Here’s what you need to know about using them in the game itself.

Similar to how the feature worked in past entries in the series, you can use Orders at the start of battle in Valkyria Chronicles 4. When you’re on the overview map during a battle, all you have to do is hit the Options button (if you’re on PS4) to bring up the menu, and then select the option that says Orders. This will then bring up a list of all the Orders you currently have available, and you can select the one you wish to activate.

The list will also indicate how much CP you’ll have to spend for each Order, so be careful not to go overboard with this, or you might run out of moves during actual combat and end up leaving your units in a precarious position. Choose your Orders and use them strategically to give yourself an edge in battle, and remember to account for whatever actions you need to take with your remaining CP as well.

It’s also worth noting that you can unlock more Order options as you level up your squad in the Training Grounds.

That’s about all you need to know about using Orders in Valkyria Chronicles 4 for now. Be sure to check our wiki for more information on Valkyria Chronicles 4.
