How to Get Prime Attunement in Destiny 2 Forsaken & What It Is

Destiny 2’s huge new expansion, Forsaken, has finally arrived and players are working their way through the new story content that is focused on the death of Cayde-6, finding all the new exotics, and preparing for the upcoming all-new Raid. However, there a load more new features and items that can be found in Destiny 2 that have been added by Forsaken and help you reach the new Power Level cap. One of those new features is a buff called Prime Attunement, and it’s not immediately clear what exactly it does. Well, here’s everything you need to know about what Prime Attunement is in Destiny 2 Forsaken and how to get it.

Prime Attunement is actually more straightforward than its name suggests. It is a buff that when active, grants you an increased chance of obtaining Prime Engrams (engrams that grant gear that’s around the soft power level cap) from defeating ‘challenging’ enemies, which can be bosses of any kind. The buff lasts all day, allowing you to head out into Destiny 2 Forsaken’s new areas to take on foes in hope of finding the Prime Engrams, but they seem to be more difficult to get after the first one of the day.

To get the Prime Attunement buff, you simply need to visit the Cryptarch. Simply head to where he is situated at the Tower and talk to him. Once you’ve exited his menu, the buff should be active. You’ll only get the buff once, so it’ll only be granted the first time you visit him, not the subsequent times. However, since it lasts all day, only getting the Prime Attunement Buff once isn’t an issue.

That’s all you need to know about how to get Prime Attunement in Destiny 2’s Forsaken expansion and what it is. For more tips and tricks on the game, be sure to check out our wiki guide.
