All Secrets for Bounty in The Dreaming City in Destiny 2: Forsaken
The Dreaming City features lots of different secrets that you can intentionally or accidentally discover and complete. Here is a list of secrets that you can discover while exploring in The Dreaming City. Note: This list is not comprehensive yet. We’re still discovering and finding things, and The Dreaming City secrets are such that every week things might change, and/or new secrets might emerge. Consider this a growing/evolving list of secrets that we’ll add to over time, and in the meantime, if we’re missing something, let us know in the comments so we can add it. Some of these secrets will or won’t count towards the secrets bounty that Petra will occasionally have on offer. We’re not 100% sure as the bounty isn’t always around to check some of this stuff as we get it, but we’ll note what we know and update it later on, and either way, whether it counts or not, all of these secrets are worth checking out whether you have the bounty active or not.
Destiny 2: Forsaken All Secrets – Cat Statues: These are little teeny tiny statuettes that are hidden around The Dreaming City. If you have received A Small Gift, from patrols, lost sectors, Blind Well completions, etc., you can offer it to them, and get a free piece of legendary gear from the area. Keep in mind that it disappears afterwards and you’ll have to seek out another or check back and see if it will possibly return one day.

- Go towards the path in the top right corner of Divilian Mists. You should be at a large cliffside. If you look over into the distance, you should see a small cave in the distance. Jump over to it, and in that cave you’ll find a cat statue.
- There’s a cat statue in the Observatory where the Oracle resides. You’ll need to hop on the rotating objects to get onto a high up ledge where the cat is looking out through a window.
- There’s another cat statue in the top left corner of the Rheasilvia region. It’s up high on a path that escalates up a large mountain. Look for a large crystal pillar, and the cat is hanging out right beside it. See our guide above for some photos if you need help.

Destiny 2: Forsaken All Secrets – Corsair Down: This is a hidden pursuit that you can receive randomly while exploring and completing objectives around The Dreaming City. The description on the pursuit tells you a location, and you need to go to the location and look for the body of one of Petra’s corsair soldiers. Examine the body with your ghost, a boss will appear, and you’ll need to then return to the Corsair’s hideout in the Divilian Mists to claim a reward. Note that if you get Corsair Down and have already explored the area where the body was located, you may need to go to orbit and come back in order to have the body appear.
Known Locations
- “Something about a Bay” – Go to the Lost Sector in the Divilian Mists, Bay of Drowned Wishes. Right when you enter the bay, there’s a large rock in front of you with a body to the left of it.
- “Something about a Chamber” – Go to the Lost Sector in Rheasilvia, Chamber of Starlight, the body is located in this area.
- “Something about Aphelion” – Go to the Lost Sector right near Petra called Aphelion’s Rest. The body is located in this area.
- “Something about a Garden” – Go to the Gardens of Esila in the southern portion of the map. In the large plaza in that area, by where you might have completed the Ascendent Challenge, there will be a body there.
- “Something about a Harbinger” – In the northern area of Rheasilvia, there’s a sub-area called Harbinger’s Seclude. In the palace in this area, you’ll find a body.
- “Something about a Spine and Mist” – Go to the area where the Oracle resides. In the northwest area of this region, there is a bunch of jutting islands that appear. The body will appear somewhere in this area.

Destiny 2: Forsaken All Secrets – Ascendant Challenges: These are weekly challenges that you can only complete if you have used a Tincture of Queensfoil to see the secret ascendant portals that are hidden around in The Dreaming City. Each week, a different portal will be available and you’ll be able to complete a new challenge that will reward you with legendary gear, and inch you a step closer to completing Petra’s weekly bounty for a nice amount of powerful gear.
Known Locations
- In the Lost Sector, Aphelion’s Rest near Petra, a portal will appear about half way through under the effect of Queensfoil.
- In the Gardens of Esila, there exists a portal. Head to the circular plaza area and pop the Queensfoil. Walk over to nearby cliffside where there are some floating islands, and you shouldn’t miss the giant portal there if it’s available that week.

Destiny 2: Forsaken All Secrets – Ahamkara Skulls: These are secret vendors that you can meet up with to trade Baryon Bough to for some useful inventory items that you’ll need in The Dreaming City. Like everything else on this list, they are hidden throughout The Dreaming City.
Known Locations
- In the palace of Harbinger’s Seclude, there are two large dragon skulls, Huggin and Munnin that will upgrade your charges of light, and sell you queensfoil for Baryon Bough.

Destiny 2: Forsaken All Secrets – Queensfoil Secrets: In addition to the Ascendant Challenges, there are lots of secrets tied to Queensfoil in general. We’re not sure of every possible thing you can see, and use for Queensfoil yet as the expansion is still very new. For example, there are platforms that will appear that will lead you to a chest that you can loot for secret bounty credit.
You can get Queensfoil by exploring lost sectors, and trading with the Ahamkara Skull. If you have extra, pop one, and go explore and see what you can find. Let us know what secrets you discover!
Secret Bounty Credit: Varying
Destiny 2: Forsaken All Secrets – Locked Chests: These are chests that you’ll come across while exploring that will need three orbs jammed into its slots in order to open up and reward you with useful gear. The orbs are located nearby wherever you have found the chest. Bring the orb back to the chest three times and it will open up. However, keep in mind that once you begin, you’re on a timer and if you take too long the chests will disappear.
