CoD Black Ops 4 Beta: How to Play With Friends Online

How to Play With Friends Online in the CoD Black Ops 4 Beta

Recommended Videos

CoD Black Ops 4 made quite the stir when it was officially revealed a few months back to not have any single-player campaign whatsoever. Instead, Treyarch has opted to double down on Call of Duty’s biggest strength and is providing three different multiplayer modes for players to enjoy in the full game. Alas, the Black Ops 4 beta won’t grant you access to two of these right away – Zombies, and the battle royale mode, Blackout – but you will be able to check out the classic, fast-paced multiplayer action that made the series the juggernaut it is today. While it’s possible to jump into the Black Ops 4 beta, it’s always better to play with friends online, especially when in a team-based game mode.

To play with friends online in the CoD Black Ops 4 beta, you’ll need to first load into the lobby. Once here, you should see the option to open up a Social menu by pressing Triangle (this will be Y on Xbox One once the beta releases on the platform).

From here, you should see a list of all your friends currently online. Simply select the name of the friend you want to play with, and you can either press Square (X on Xbox One) to join their session in progress if it’s open, or you can press X (A on Xbox One) to invite them to your group.

Now all you need to do is for your friends to accept your invite to play in the Black Ops 4 beta and they should join your lobby. After this, it’s simply a case of setting up the matchmaking as you would if you were playing on your own in the beta. With a bit of luck, that’s all you’ll need to play with friends.

That’s all you need to know to play with friends online in the Black Ops 4 beta. For more on Black Ops 4 and everything else video games, be sure to search for Twinfinite.
