How to Gift Skins in Fortnite Season 5
Season 5 is finally here in Fortnite, and with it, a new feature has popped up… although it’s still in the works, it looks like. Eventually, it looks like you’ll be able to gift skins to your Fortnite friends and fam. Here’s how we think you’ll be able to gift skins and use this new feature in Fortnite Battle Royale.
As of right now, the option does exist in-game, but it doesn’t appear like Epic Games has flipped the on switch yet. So you have to wait a little bit before you can gift skins in Fortnite Season 5. It’s likely that Epic Games is still putting the finishing touches on it before allowing it to go live, but wants to build a little hype going into it.
That doesn’t mean we can’t speculate about how to gift skins in Fortnite Season 5. If we had to guess, it will probably be an option from within the Item Shop. Then, instead of buying it for yourself, you can simply buy it for someone else. We don’t know for sure though. When that info gets confirmed, we’ll be sure to update this post in case you end up back here again at some point in the future.
Until that’s settled though, there is something that you can do. Go to the settings menu and then go to the Account and Content tab. All the way at the bottom you’ll see the option: “Can Receive Gifts from Others.” Unless you hate presents, make sure that’s set to yes so if you have any nice people in the future who want to buy you stuff, they can do that for you.
