Is There Splitscreen Co-op Multiplayer in The Crew 2?

Recommended Videos

The Crew 2 is the new open world racing game developed by Ubisoft Ivory Tower. Players will have access to bikes, cars, boats, and planes as they travel all around the USA, and engage in various races and vehicular challenges. There’s also the option to play with friends, but if you’re hoping to engage in some splitscreen play or local co-op and multiplayer in The Crew 2, we’re afraid that’s not going to be possible in this game.

The Crew 2 does have multiplayer functionality, but at the moment, this is only restricted to online play. This means that even though you can’t play in splitscreen, you can still race with and against people on your friends list. All you have to do is bring up your menu, go over to the Roster tab, and you can invite friends to join your game, or you can join in on their sessions instead. You can have up to four total members in your crew.

Given that the first game didn’t have any splitscreen play either, it’s unlikely that Ubisoft will ever patch that feature into the sequel. Players will just have to make do with online play instead.
