Fending off the horde of undead is a big part of State of Decay 2. To keep your group of survivors safe, you’ll need to have a variety of weapons and items that’ll be good against a variety of enemies. Grenades are one of those weapons, albeit throwable, and they are very useful throughout the game. Here’s how you throw them in the game.

You can keep them either in your character’s pockets, or as they are in your inventory, and throw them from there. To do so, hold LT to aim where the throw is going, then press RB to let go. Be warned, however, the aiming isn’t particularly accurate or reliable, so you may end up throwing them slightly off from where you hoped. Just try not to blow up too many of your own survivors when trying to take out the zombies that are attacking. You’ll get the hang of it after a few tries, however, and your own people will be safe and sound.
