Sea of Thieves: How to Use the Telescope

How to Use the Telescope in Sea of Thieves

Sea of Thieves tries hard to create an authentic, but also silly and whimsical, pirate experience for Xbox One and PC gamers. It may have taken a while for something like this to be made, but it’s better late than never. Rare, although very different from the Rare of old, seems to have their heart in the right place. When navigating, well, the Sea of Thieves, you’ll need to reference your compass, map, and telescope to get around properly.

The telescope in particular (which we’re assuming you’re here to learn more about), is useful beyond navigating, as it’s also helpful for peeping at what enemy ships might be doing, scoping out an island, and you know, anything else you’d like to take a closer look at.

To use the telescope in Sea of Thieves, all you need to do is press and hold LB to open your item wheel, and then use the right stick to select it. Now that you have it out, simply use the RT button to use and zoom in on what you want to see in the distance.

Simple, right? That does it for how to use the telescope in Sea of Thieves. For more on SoT, check out our ever-expanding wiki guide.
