Sea of Thieves: How to Get a Tankard to Get Grog

How to Get a Tankard to Get Grog in Sea of Thieves

Recommended Videos

Sea of Thieves is a multiplayer adventure game that lets you live out your pirate fantasies. You can sail the high seas and look for loot on abandoned islands, or you can fight other scallywags and make your way with their treasure. But, of course, it wouldn’t be a good pirate game without having a few drinks on the side. If you want a swig of some of that sweet Grog, you’ll need to get yourself a tankard first.

Luckily, all new Sea of Thieves players come complete with a basic Sailor Tankard when they start the game. It’s completely free, so that means it’s happy hour all day, every day. To use it, you’ll need to press and hold LB to open your wheel of equipment, and then use the right analog stick to select the tankard. Once it’s equipped, simply use RT to take a drink (once it’s full, of course).

If you’re looking for something fancier, you can buy different tankards at the Equipment Shop for 275 gold. As for the Grog, you can fill up your tankard at Taverns found at Outposts, or even from your ship’s Grog barrel. Just press X when your tankard is out to interact with them and fill it up.

Guzzling down some Grog in Sea of Thieves will mess with your vision and movement, so you’ll want to keep that in mind if you’re planning on sailing after a drink. If you keep drinking, you’ll eventually stumble around and even vomit, which isn’t a pretty sight.
