Sea of Thieves: How to Revive

How to Revive Yourself in Sea of Thieves

Recommended Videos

While exploring the wide open world in Sea of Thieves and digging up treasure on various islands, you will eventually run into other players who might not be feeling so friendly. As long as a player isn’t part of your crew, they can always attack you and steal your treasure, so it’s best to err on the side of caution whenever you encounter another person. When you’re running with a crew, though, some players may be wondering if you can revive teammates or have them revive you if you take too much damage.

If you’re unsuccessful in fending enemies off, and they end up killing you, don’t worry. All is not lost, and you’ll still have a chance of getting back at them, though a teammate won’t be able to revive you in Sea of Thieves. Whenever you get killed and your HP drops to zero, you’ll instantly die. When this happens, you’ll be sent to a ghost ship that doesn’t seem to be going anywhere in particular. This is where all players are sent whenever they die, including your enemies, if they happen to die at almost the same time as you.

After a few seconds, a door on the deck of the ghost ship will open, revealing a bright white light. All you have to do is step into the light, and you’ll respawn back on your own ship with another chance at life. However, do be careful as your enemies can (and probably will) spawn camp you if they take over your ship.

So while you can’t revive teammates in Sea of Thieves, you won’t have to retrace too many steps. Be sure to check out our wiki for more tips, tricks, information, and guides on Sea of Thieves.
