How to Fix Fluffy Beard Error & What it Is in Sea of Thieves

Recommended Videos

Sea of Thieves is a multiplayer adventure game, and as such, there will be times when players will stumble upon some network errors. Getting an error can really take away from the game’s immersion, and not to mention it’s just incredibly annoying when you can’t play. That being said, one particular message some fans have been getting lately is the Fluffy Beard error.

When you see the message, it means that the servers are currently down for an update. It’s either that or the developers are running a playtest session during that time. What can you do to fix it? Not much, really. For the most part, players will just have to wait out the error until they can finally access the servers again.

What you can do, however, is check the game’s online platforms, such as Twitter, to check for scheduled maintenance. The developers will usually announce any server updates or any similar issues beforehand, so it’s always worth checking their platforms from time to time. That way, you’ll know when to hop in the game or not, saving you and your friends the disappointment of being greeted by an error message.
