Sea of Thieves: How to Fix ‘Checking Pirate Roster’ Error

How to Fix ‘Checking Pirate Roster’ Error in Sea of Thieves

Recommended Videos

Sea of Thieves is a multiplayer adventure game, and while it offers an immersive pirate experience, players will occasionally encounter errors that take away from all the fun. One constant problem that has been pestering fans is the “checking pirate roster” error. It’s been holding up others from playing with their friends and basically enjoying the game in general.

This error pretty much pops up when the servers are full, which isn’t all too surprising since the game has just been released. A good handful of fans are out enjoying the high seas and looting treasure, and unfortunately, the servers can’t accommodate everyone. For the most part, there’s not much you can do except to wait it out. If you’re lucky, you can try connecting to the servers and see if you can manage to squeeze in and play.

For any other updates on server issues, you can follow the game’s Twitter account. Most developers nowadays usually post status updates regarding servers or down times, so it’s worth giving a peek if you continue to run into any problems, such as the “checking pirate roster” error.
