How to Get Dragon Balls & What They Do in Dragon Ball FighterZ

Recommended Videos

Aside from simply improving their skill level, Dragon Ball FighterZ players are going to want to do everything they can to get the upper-hand in fights. One of the ways they can do so is through the use of Dragon Balls, which have the potential to give you an advantage in any battle in Dragon Ball FighterZ.

You collect Dragon Balls during a match by performing strings of combos that land seven hits. As you perform them in sets, you will collect Dragon Balls; seven of them for seven combos of seven hits, to be precise. This one’s very easy to pull off with the Square (PS4) or X (Xbox One) combo. Once you have performed the combos to get all of them, you need to charge up seven ki bars (by holding Square and X together if you’re on PS4 or X and A together if you’re on Xbox One), and land a full Square (PS4) or X (Xbox One) combo to summon Shenron. The massive dragon will appear and will offer you the chance to choose one of four wishes in Dragon Ball FighterZ. Those wishes are:

  • Bring Back My Ally! – Any defeated tag teammates will be restored to 50% health.
  • Restore My Health! – Restores your character’s health all the way.
  • Give Me the Ultimate Power! – Boosts your Ki Gauge to its maximum.
  • Make Me Immortal! – Health will restore 50% of the way and your energy gauge gets auto-regeneration.

Each of those wishes can only be activated by collecting the Dragon Balls in a fight, granting you a significant advantage in Dragon Ball FighterZ. It will be interesting to see how much difference it will make to the tactics players employ, and if it positively or negatively affects competitive play.
