Destiny 2 Curse of Osiris: What the New Max Power (Light) Cap Is

What the New Max Power (Light) Cap Is in Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris

Recommended Videos

Curse of Osiris marks the start of Destiny 2’s post-launch expansions. The addition of new story missions, weapons, gear, Strikes, and Raid content means there are plenty of reasons to get reacquainted with your Guardian. Of course, with all of this new content, many players may be wondering if they’ll be able to slowly but surely grind up to a new max power (light) cap.

Well, there’s some good news. Curse of Osiris does indeed increase the max power (light) cap from vanilla Destiny 2. The max power (light) cap has now been raised from 305 up to 330. This can, however, be pushed up to 335 if you know what you’re doing with Mods and have the right ones equipped.

Alongside the cap being bumped up from Destiny 2’s original value, Curse of Osiris also raises the max level cap, too. The expansion will raise the max level cap from 20 to 25, though whether or not there will be new abilities for Guardians to learn alongside this cap increase remains to be seen.

That’s all you need to know about Curse of Osiris and its new max power (light) cap. For more on the expansion and the vanilla experience, be sure to check out our Destiny 2 wiki.
