Getting and Using the Jump Potion in Final Fantasy XIV

Recommended Videos

The Jump Potion was introduced in Final Fantasy XIV with the release of patch 4.0 and the Stormblood expansion. With this new item, players will now be able to immediately level any Job to level 60, or skip the A Realm Reborn and Heavensward MSQs.

There are three different types of Potions to choose from in Final Fantasy XIV, all of which can be bought off Square Enix’s Mog Station store.

The first Jump Potion will let you skip all MSQs in A Realm Reborn. This one is called Tales of Adventure: A Realm Reborn, and it costs $18. The second is called Tales of Adventure: Heavensward, which lets you skip all MSQs in A Realm Reborn and Heavensward. It’s priced at $25. However, do note that you’ll still need a class or job at the required level in order to continue the story. This means that even though you’ve essentially ‘completed’ all the Heavensward quests, you’ll still need a level 60 character in order to accept the first Stormblood quest.

This is where the third Jump Potion comes in. You’ll be able to buy a separate Jump Potion for whichever class you want to level to 60. For instance, if you want a level 60 Paladin, you can buy Tales of Adventure: One Paladin’s Journey I for $25. Potions are available for all Disciple of War/Magic classes, so feel free to choose whichever one you want to play.

Once you’ve made your Jump Potion purchase in Final Fantasy XIV, log into your account in-game and collect your items from the nearest Delivery Moogle. Use them, and you’ll be set to go.
