How to Get Mr. Freeze in Injustice 2
Mr. Freeze is one of the cooler villains in Batman’s rogues gallery (and no, we don’t mean that as a pun). He’s a badass scientist who really is good at heart but has made a lot of bad decisions. The result of trying to cure his wife (Nora Fries) and an experiment gone wrong changed his body into what is essentially a living ice cube, unable to survive for too long outside of freezing temperatures. His solution? A cool-looking suit that keeps his temperature controlled and an awesome freeze gun that freezes his adversaries solid. He was passed over for Captain Cold in Injustice 2’s roster, but you can actually unlock Mr. Freeze as a playable character… sort of.
While Injustice 2 uses a gear system to let players customize their favorite fighters with new looks and abilities, a few of them also have skins which completely change their appearance and essentially makes them into new characters. Captain Cold has a skin (which is found under Shaders) which transforms him into Mr. Freeze. To Unlock Mr. Freeze in Injustice 2, you must spend 6,000 Source Crystals on the skin, then equip it.
Do note that while the appearance and other aspects of the character may change, the move set remains that of Captain Cold.
